Ahura Aqua designs and manufactures high-performing ultrafiltration systems, customised to each client’s water quality and capacity—a perfect fit for pre-filtration to RO in wastewater recovery, pre- & post-UF stages in Purified Water and WFI streams, and concentration duties across food, beverage and dairy.

With a hollow-fibre membrane working from 60 kDa down to 4 kDa, our UF systems deliver crystal-clear product water and a dependable barrier to bacteria and viruses.

Membrane WFI – Beyond Distillation

Special membranes with a molecular cut-off of 6 kDa or 4 kDa, placed downstream of a Purified Water generation system, produce WFI-quality water. Compared with the multi-column distillation route, generating WFI by membrane separation is a proven energy saver and a far more sophisticated method.

Ultrafiltration belongs to the same membrane family as microfiltration and nanofiltration—the primary difference is the size of particles or molecules each membrane retains. A pre-UF system (RO pre-treatment class such as Toray HFU or Veolia ZeeWeed) handles suspended solids, while a tighter post-UF system polishes water down to 10 kDa for WFI applications.
